About Reva

Hi there! My name is Reva Timbers, I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapist’s of Ontario (CRPO). I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Philosophy from Carleton University and obtained a Master of Art’s in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University.

I am competent and experienced in providing therapeutic treatment and support for teens and adults struggling with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Anxiety/Panic Disorder, Depression, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder, Self-harm, Gender/Identity Concerns, and Addiction Issues. I am most passionate about providing gender affirming care through the lens of increasing experiences of gender euphoria.

In my couple’s work, I use a combination of Couples and Sex Therapy interventions to support couples looking to heal from infidelity, sexual dysfunction, and barriers to communication within the relationship. My previous experience in the public sector, working with survivors of domestic and sexual violence, helps to inform my work with client’s (both couples and individuals) with similar experiences to engage in healthy relationships.

It is my goal to create a non-judgemental, supportive, and inclusive space for you to feel comfortable. I tend to use humour and a warm demeanour to create this safe environment for us to walk together through life’s many stressors. I possess extensive training in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and use a combination of these interventions as well as Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Existential, Narrative, Sex, and Humanistic Therapies with clients. My approach to counselling and treatment planning is from a holistic, client-centered, harm reduction and trauma-informed stance.

When I am not in the office, I enjoy cooking, gardening, dancing, video games, and hanging out with my sassy pets.
