Counselling for Young Adults

Uncomfortable feelings are a sign of growth. We can help you navigate them with
in-person counselling in Guelph, ON and online.

We can all remember what it’s like to be a young adult. Pressures from school, changing friend groups, external pressures from every direction. Not to mention the higher demand placed on young adults today to be constantly stimulated and connecting with other. It’s no wonder why more young adults are seeking mental health support.

What are we trying to achieve with counselling?

We are passionate about working with adults of all ages. Growing into adulthood brings with it many challenges and crises of identity, individuality, uncertainty and more. These can lead to symptoms of depression, grief, anxiety, trauma and self-destructive behaviours. We’ve helped many young adults and adults take control of their lives and find renewed sense of purpose and satisfaction at school, at home, at work and in their relationships.

What do our young adult clients seek counselling for?

We work with young adults experiencing depression, anxiety, grief or trauma to identify what is causing your distress. Our team can help you see root causes of these feelings by exploring unconscious habits, patterns, or life circumstances. We hope to understand how and why you feel the way you do and where your unconscious thoughts come from. We want to see your self-esteem and confidence increase and for you to not only KNOW it, but FEEL it.

What makes us different?

One-size-fits-all therapeutic approaches simply won’t work to truly connect you with your goals or relief. We want people to feel empowered to help themselves through tools that will work for each individual. That’s why we create individualized treatment plans for all clients.

In our practice, we want to hear about you: where you’re at, where you want to be, and use individualized tools and practices that will empower you to get where you want to be without compromising your values or sense of self.

We won’t pressure you to do anything you’re not comfortable while providing compassion, reliability and accountability you can take on.

We are a safe, inclusive, and LGBTQ+ friendly space.
