About Hailey
Hello!
My name is Hailey (she/her), and I am a psychotherapy student in the process of becoming a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying). I completed my undergraduate degree in Social Development, with a minor in Sexuality, Marriage, and Family Studies at the University of Waterloo. Here, I enjoyed learning how meaningful relationships develop and flourish.
My interests have expanded since beginning my Master's in Psychotherapy and Spiritual Care at Wilfred Laurier University. I am specifically drawn to working with individuals navigating interpersonal conflict, anxiety, emotional regulation, and meaning-making. I am also passionate about working with couples through marriage and relationship challenges. I aim to create a safe, non-judgemental space for people to share and feel heard.
I am specifically drawn to Emotionally Focused, Attachment-Based and Client-Centred therapeutic models. Emotionally Focused work encourages the client to consider the powerful effect emotions have on aspects of life such as interpersonal conflict, decision-making, and meaning-making. Attachment-Based work explores how early development and relationships with a parent/caregiver shape your current life. The Client-Centred model enhances this work by empowering the client to take the lead on their growth within a supportive environment.
In my free time, I enjoy creative outlets such as sketching, colouring, and painting. I also enjoy playing at the park with my boston terrier and spending time with my family and friends.
