About Nick
Hi :)
I’m Nick (he/them), a neurodivergent Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) completing my practicum with Athabasca University as part of a Master’s of Counselling. I also hold a Master’s degree in Neuroscience from Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, where I researched memory and learning in autistic child development.
Neuroscience is cool, but you’re more than nervous system data and diagnoses; more than masking your way through executive function brain fog and the heart math of task paralysis and procrastination.
For over a decade, I’ve worked alongside autistic, neurodivergent, and intellectually disabled people experiencing anxiety, burnout, depression, identity stress, and chronic overwhelm, as well as those struggling with overthinking, demand avoidance, masking, executive function challenges, self-criticism, emotional regulation, and nervous system balance. I want to make your life feel more manageable, so I practice with unconditional empathy and neuroaffirming, evidence-based therapy that supports nervous system resilience, self-trust, flexibility, and meaning—without judgment, expectations, or pressure.
You sense, feel, and notice the changing world through affect, embodiment, and relationship in a way that’s your own. You shouldn’t have to think your way through everything or even know exactly how you feel to heal. My practice is grounded in disability justice and is trans-affirming and neuroaffirming. I actively adapt therapy to support different ways of being and knowing, especially when disability, neurodivergence, or complex needs shape your experience.
In my spare time, I enjoy art, making music, and writing. I’m also currently producing a silly philosophical puppet show about consciousness.
